Dillards Extra-Off Sale?

Shhh... a friend has passed along intel saying that Dillards may have an extra 40% off on permanently reduced merchandise sale beginning this Wednesday - Saturday. Dillards DID have an extra-off sale this time last year, too, so it's likely to be correct.

When the store has the extra reduction sale, it also applies on line!!

Nordstrom's Anniversary Sale!

The beginning of Nordstrom's Anniversary Sale seems like a good time to kick off this blog, at last! I love this annual shopping event, and save all year for it. It's a great time to stock up on basics, most on sale, and it's also the perfect time to preview Fall and choose wonderful pieces, also mostly on sale.

This year, I love the over-the-knee boots, but I don't think they're realistic for either my age or my lifestyle! I'm also always tempted by the coats, but since I live in deep South Texas, a new coat every year isn't needed. However, I AM always tempted by the new handbags. I look for somewhat slouchy styles that can accommodate a couple of books, bottle of water (or Diet Coke!) and a notepad, along with my wallet and makeup bag. One sale choice I really like is the Christopher Kon "Zenny Small Hobo" above.
